Sandy L. Owens was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and reborn on May 19, 1976. He began biblical studies and training at Emmaus Bible College majoring in Evangelism. He is married to Christine Owens, his wife of over 32 years, and been blessed with three daughters and four grandchildren.
In 1980, he joined the Chosen Vessels Full Gospel Ministry focusing on street evangelism, ministering in prisons, nursing homes, and churches along the east coast. His leadership skills opened the opportunity to become Pastor of Evangelism for five years.
After moving to Roseboro, North Carolina in 1994, he and his family joined The New Testament House of Prayer. In 1996, he was ordained by Pastor Charles Bloom. The Owens Family Evangelistic Ministry began in 1998 and was well known for their ministering through their concerts, tent services, and outreach programs.
The vision of The Potters House Deliverance Center was given to Pastor Sandy L. Owens in January 2000. His vision was to, bring people to Jesus in membership and as family, lead them to a Christ-like maturity and equip them for ministry in the church and life mission in order to magnify God’s name.

In 2003 Pastor Owens moved to New Castle Delaware and there he became youth pastor at Union Baptist Church under Dr. Labaron McAdoo Sr. In 2007 Pastor Owens graduated from Andersonville Theological Baptist Seminary with a Bachelors of Ministry and is currently pursuing a Masters in Administration.
Pastor Owens returned to North Carolina in October 2007 and became a member of Falling Run Missionary Baptist Church under Dr. Leonard Faison. Pastor Owens has discovered that through the Bible, God has given a vision, killed the vision, to resurrect the vision so that God could do greater things and in October 2008 the Potters House Deliverance Center was resurrected.
Through his many years of ministry, Pastor Owens has seen thousands of souls saved. His Motto is “Win the lost at any cost”.

To set at liberty those who are bruised. The ministry is especially designed toward deliverance. Delivering and setting at liberty Christians who have been hurt, people who have been religiously bound, and sinners from the entrapment of sin. Potter’s House Deliverance Center seeks to be a place for Christians to discover or rediscover the joy of serving the Lord.
